Overview:

The Strings of St. Johns is a music ensemble, based in downtown Ottawa, Canada, which performs several concerts per year.

The Challenge:

Each concert requires posters for advertising and a program. Once the design for the event is created, multiple versions of the poster are produced, sized for easy 8.5″ x 11″ printing as well as various social media applications. Additionally, two versions of the program are produced: in greyscale for print and in colour for the website.

Recent poster PDFs contain both a QR code (for scanning from a physical copy) and embedded links that direct viewers to the group’s website, allowing ease of access to additional information.

Posters are created using stock art that is modified as necessary to suit the design.
